You haven't fully experienced the magical city until you visit Little Havana

You haven't fully experienced the magical city until you visit Little Havana. Miami Cuba (and almost every local) is very proud of this neighborhood to the west of Downtown Miami, where the famous Calle Ocho line remains a testament to the American dream pursued by hundreds of thousands of Cubans who finish it. More than just a place to find a fabulous Cuban restaurant in Miami, Little Havana is full of culture, plus a place to find art and knock back some cocktails at some of the best bars in Miami. This is one of the busiest tourist destinations in the city, but its charm and history (plus the abundance of new restaurants and trendy lounges) also make it very appealing to locals.

Giving Wynwood and a colourful mural to get his money, Little Havana reveals a new outdoor photo exhibition tonight as part of his monthly Viernes Culturales art journey.

Titled  "Little Havana Me Importa: The faces and places that define the environment," portrait photographer Cyn Lagos highlights 10 people whose work has formed a Latin community. Ever wondered about a sweet old man who peddled nuts along Calle Ocho? Or the family responsible for introducing us to the unbearable Minutas? Lagos has captured them as part of its collection. For a culinary landmark of Latin variety, visit the best restaurants in Little Havana, Miami. The surroundings of Calle Ocho and the surrounding area are filled with great food, including Miami's finest Cubanos, plus more surprising food such as Asian street food and Spanish tapas. But you don't go all the way just to eat, isn't it? After dinner, take a stroll in one of Miami's best bars for a cocktail before heading out to one of the Latin music venues at the salsa Hood at night (and calories).
